CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati celebrated a historic fall semester in the classroom during halftime of the men's basketball win over Houston on Wednesday evening at Fifth Third Arena. The baseball team contributed largely to the success with 28 players earning Bearcats Honor Roll distinction.

The UC department of athletics posted its highest ever GPA, achieving a 3.137 while the baseball team accumulated a 3.212 for the fall semester.

A total of 17 baseball players were named to the Dean's List for achieving at least a 3.4 GPA. Being honored were Bryan Chenoweth (Lafayette, Ind./McCutcheon), Colton Cleary (Nicholasville, Ky./Lexington Catholic), T.J. Galenti (Stillwater, Minn./IMG Academy), Ian Happ (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon), Chris Klenk (Portage, Ind./Portage), Dalton Lehnen (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North), Doug Lowe II (Marysville, Ohio/Triad), Connor McVey (Mason, Ohio/Mason), Kyle Mottice (Canal Fulton, Ohio/Jackson), Mitch Patishall (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights), Richard Rodriguez (Brooklyn, N.Y./Calvert Hall), Cameron Ross (Hebron, Ky./Conner), Connor Van Caugherty (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood), Nick Voss (Loveland, Ohio/Moeller), Woody Wallace (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy), Devin Wenzel (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood Area) and Matt Woloszyk (Taylor, Mich./John F. Kennedy).

Additionally, a record-breaking 292 Cincinnati student athletes, including 28 members of head coach Ty Neal's team, were named to the Bearcats Honor Roll after posting a 3.0 or higher GPA.
