CINCINNATI - The No. 17 University of Cincinnati football team celebrates a Boldly Bearcat Homecoming Saturday vs. UConn at 3:30 p.m. ET inside Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats (7-1, 4-1 AAC) enter on a six-game winning streak in 2018 and an 11-game streak at home. UC won a thriller at ECU on Saturday, Nov. 2 when K Sam Crosa split the uprights with a 32-yard field goal as time expired to cap a 46-43 win after UC trailed by 12 entering the fourth quarter. UConn enters at 2-7 (0-5 AAC) and have dropped seven of their last eight contests. The game will be televised by CBS Sports Network and air on 700 WLW AM.

THE SERIES
Saturday marks the 16th meeting of the schools who have played annually since 2005. Cincinnati leads the all-time series 12-3 and has won seven of the past eight meetings. The Bearcats are 8-0 against the Huskies in Nippert Stadium, outscoring UConn 276-170.
THE COACHES
Luke Fickell, the 2018 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, is in his third season at Cincinnati. The 42nd head coach in program history, Fickell took the reins in December 2016 after 15 years at his alma mater, Ohio State. A veteran of nearly 20 years in the FBS ranks, Fickell was a part of nine Big Ten Conference titles (seven as a coach, two as a player) and two national championship squads with 16 postseason games and 13 NFL Draft selections under his belt.
Randy Edsall is in his second stint as the UConn head coach after being with the program for 12 seasons from 1999-2010. He led the program from Division I-AA status in 1999 to an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl following the 2010 season.

- The Bearcats play their 132nd football season in 2019. UC's program dates to 1885 and is one of the 10 oldest in the NCAA FBS. UC has won a league title five times in the last 12 years and has played 10 bowl games in the past 13 years.
- UC has won four-straight American Athletic Conference FB Team Academic Excellence Awards in 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018.
- Cincinnati was the only school in the country in 2018-19 to tally 11 football wins, including a bowl win, and earn 24 or more wins in baseball, men's and women's basketball and volleyball.
- UC, picked second in the AAC preseason media poll, had 11 wins a year ago, marking only the third time in program history the feat has been achieved (2008, 2009). The Bearcats returned more than 85% of the roster, over 5,000 yards of total offense, 10 of the Top-15 tacklers and 14 starters from the 2018 squad.
- The 2019 roster features players from 14 states and six countries with 72 hailing from Ohio and 26 from the Cincinnati area. Forty-five percent of the roster (53/117 players) is made up by freshmen and redshirt freshmen.
- UC will not play consecutive home or road games this season, the first time in the modern era it has occurred.
- UC is 18-3 since the start of the 2018 campaign and are ranked No. 17 in both the AP and Coaches polls.
- UC has won 11-straight games at Nippert Stadium, dating back to November 2017.
- UC is tied for second in the NCAA FBS with 20 turnovers gained (12 interceptions, 8 fumble recoveries) and tied for eighth in turnover margin per game (1.0). UC has 15 takeaways (5 FR, 10 INT) over the last four games.
- UC had a SH 301 rushing yards at ECU behind the running of Michael Warren II (143 yds.) & Desmond Ridder (121 yds.).
