CINCINNATI - The first day of action in the University of Cincinnati track & field team's first meet of 2020 came to a close Friday night inside the Nutter Field House in Lexington, Ky., as the Bearcats posted 11 personal-best marks on the women's side while three women and three men each earned qualification into the semifinals of their respective sprints at the Jim Green Invitational. Among those personal-best marks was another for freshman Hannah Jackson, who climbed one spot higher to #5 all-time in program history in just her third collegiate weight throw competition.

// THROWING SOME WEIGHT AROUND
The women's weight throw produced two big marks on the day as Jackson moved up the all-time Top 10 ledger while Jane Sensibaugh, who also is a goalkeeper on the UC women's soccer team, recorded a huge PR as well. Jackson finished ninth on the day as she sent the 20-pound ball out tot 17.94m (58-10.25), an improvement of 10" that moved her up to #5 all-time. In the same event, Sensibaugh, who placed 12th overall, posted a best of 16.17m (53-00.75) and, while it doesn't crack the program's all-time Top 10 list, it is a huge improvement as she bettered her previous PR by 5' 3".

// PERSONAL BESTS
On the day, 11 personal bests were recorded by the women with four coming in the field and the rest on the track. Along with the marks in the weight throw, both Juliet McGregor and Taylor Beard bettered their long jump bests as the freshmen attained marks of 5.20m (17-00.75) and 5.16m (16-11.25), respectively.

On the track, Irati Mitxelena led the way in the 60m dash as she posted a best of 7.94. In the 200m finals, Victoria Abunaw and Calista Manns posted PRs as they ran 25.73 and 26.76, respectively. Finally, all four women in the 600m run posted PRs with Carmen Licht leading the charge as the redshirt freshman posted a time of 1:37.29, just missing the all-time Top 10 (1:37.12). Kylie Cutlip (1:41.39), Katie Straus (1:43.42) and Sydney Spears (1:46.15) also added PRs.

// MOVING ON • MEN
Three men raced fast enough in the first rounds to book their tickets to Saturday's semifinal rounds with Arthur Greenlee IV and Isaiah McCall both moving on to the semifinals in the 60m dash and the 60m hurdles. In the short sprint, Chris Borzor led the way as he ran 6.84 with McCall (6.88) and Greenlee IV (6.98) each advancing as well. In the 60m hurdles, Greenlee IV sits second heading into the semifinals after running 7.94 while McCall is fourth in 8.08.

// MOVING ON • WOMEN
Three women claimed spots in the semifinals of the hurdle event with all three just making the cut as the Top 18 advanced to Saturday's races.
