CINCINNATI - Aaron Bienenfeld continued his stellar season Friday night in Seattle, Wash., as the distance standout for the University of Cincinnati shattered his own school record in the 5,000m run at the Husky Classic while many of his teammates took part in the Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tenn.

// DISTANCE DOMINANCE
In the Pacific Northwest, Bienenfeld took on a very strong field in the 5,000m run and impressed as he finished fifth overall in 13:48.56 to shatter his personal best as well as his own school record. His time tonight, which lowered both times by 20.25 seconds, made him the first man in UC history to run the indoor distance event under 14 minutes. His time should place him among the Top 20 nationally following this weekend's competitions.

// LOFTY LAURIA
In Nashville, a pair of marks recorded by Bearcats ended up in the program's all-time Top 10 with Nicholas Lauria adding the lone individual mark as he cleared a career-best 5.05m (16-06.75) to finish fourth in the pole vault. His clearance, which bettered his previous best of 5.00m, ties him for #9 all-time in program history with current teammate Austin Goolsby, who cleared the mark earlier this season.

// COMBO RUN
Four men combined to run the #6 time in program history in the distance medley relay as the Bearcats team won the race in 10:07.95. The quartet, which included Matt Stump (1,200m), Akari Porter (400m), Jase Headings (800m) and Tyler Wirth (1,600m), posted the fastest time for UC since 2016 when the relay posted the #2 time in program history at 9:57.82.

// CHANDLER WINS AGAIN
In the women's 200m dash, Caisja Chandler continued to do what she has done the previous two weeks and that is win the 200m dash. The sophomore captured the race in 23.54, which is just 0.02 seconds off her season and personal-best time of 23.52, which also is the school record.
