TicketsHAMILTON, Ohio – The University of Cincinnati tennis team swept the doubles point but came up on the short end in singles in a 4-3 decision against Miami (OH) on Saturday inside the Riverside Athletic Club in Hamilton, Ohio.
The No. 2 doubles squad of Kim Gintrand and Ioana Guna defeated the RedHawks pair of Melati Devi and Makenzie Myers, 6-4 while the No. 3 duo, Emma Miceli and Kelli Niehaus, earned a 6-0 victory over Sofia Zaprianov and Lena Babunski.
Miceli (6-4, 6-4) won her match at No. 5 singles while Niehaus (7-6/3, 7-5) picked up a win at No. 6 singles. The RedHawks took the victories at No. 1 through No. 4 singles to earn the 4-3 win in the match.
