CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams will travel to the University of Louisville this weekend to compete in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational. The meet will take place this Saturday.

Competition will begin at 10 a.m. with the women's shot put and the men's weight throw. Field events will run throughout the duration of the day and track events start at 2 p.m. with the men's 60m dash preliminary rounds. The meet will conclude at 7:15 p.m. with the men's 4x400m relay. // WHERE WE LEFT OFF
The Bearcats last competed at the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. where they brought home six first-place finishes. Senior Kennedy Marable and freshman Annika Kinley sprung into UC's all-time Top-10 in the triple jump and high jump respectively.
More wins at the Gladstein Invitational came from sophomore Anaya Dees (long jump), senior Austin Edwards (long jump), freshman Steven McElroy (400m dash), freshman Brandon Johnson (60m Hurdles) and senior Sam Meece (weight throw). Each of these athletes are expected to compete in Louisville this weekend. Junior Caisja Chandler and senior Ellie Leather, who have both won events in previous meets, will be returning to competition this weekend as well.

This will be one of the larger meets of the season for UC track and field with some of the toughest competition yet. The Bearcats will face American Athletic Conference opponents, Memphis and USF, at the meet.
There is a chance for more school records to go down, with three athletes competing in events in which they currently hold UC's all-time best. Junior Caisja Chandler holds school records in the 60m dash (7.30) and 200m dash (23.22), senior Ellie Leather holds the record in the mile (4:41.83) and junior Chris Borzor holds the fastest time by a Bearcat in the 200m dash (20.84).
