THE SERIES
Cincinnati leads the overall series 7-6, however at Fifth Third Arena Tulsa leads 4-3.
Last time out, Caitlyn Wilson scored 20 points on a career high six 3-pointers in the Bearcats' 71-58 win over Tulsa on the road. Jillian Hayes added eight points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats moved to 9-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play following the 68-64 loss on th road at Temple Wednesday night. Sophomore guard Jillian Hayes led Cincinnati with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. She made 10-of-12 free throws. Graduate student Arame Niang added 12 points, while junior guard Caitlyn Wilson also scored 12 points on 4-of-7 from three.
Caitlyn Wilson earned a spot on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Jan. 24 after shooting .409 and going 9-for-22 from the three point linein the wins over Houston and UCF for the Bearcats.
Akira Levy leads the team in points (234), points per game (12.3), and assists (105). Sophomore guard Jillian Hayes leads the team in field goals made a game (4.1), free throws made (70), rebounds (135), steals (43) and blocks (27) while junior forward Caitlyn Wilson leads the team in three point shots (40) and three point shots a game (2.1).
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANESTulsa is 13-3 overall and 3-2 in AAC play.
Last time out, Rebecca Lescay's 21 points led five Tulsa players in double-figures as the Golden Hurricane captured an 80-68 win over the Memphis Tigers. Lescay converted 10-of-15 field goals on the night, while Maya Mayberry scored 16 points, younger sister Wyvette had 12 points and the freshman tandem of Temira Poindexter and Delanie Crawford each scored 11 points. Imani Jefferson led Memphis with 20 points.
Maya Mayberry is the national leader in 3-point field-goal percentage (50.0%, 33-for-66). Three Tulsa players average double-digit points, including Wyvette Mayberry with a team-best 14.7 points per game, while Maya Mayberry adds 14.2 ppg and Temira Poindexter has 11.7 pp
Tulsa had a 10-0 start, topping the previous best of 7-0 during the 2004-05 season. The 10-game win streak was the longest in school history, beating a nine-game streak during the 2005-06 campaign

50 SEASONS OF BEARCATS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
This season is the 50th anniversary of the Women's Basketball program. Then known as the Lady Bearcats, the team finished it's first season in 1971 with a 9-6 record. The Bearcats have been led by Mary Jo Huismann, former men's basketball player Tom Thacker (1974-1978, 55-43), Ceal Barry (1979-1981, 83-42), Sandy Smith (1983-1986, 49-37), Laurie Pirtle (1986-2007, most wins in program history with 310), and Jamelle Elliott (2009-2017, 113-162).
In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Title IX, we will celebrate and honor 50 seasons of Bearcats' women's basketball on Saturday, Feb. 19 when the Bearcats host ECU for a 2 p.m. game.
