CINCINNATI – Cincinnati football fifth-year senior right guard Luke Kandra and redshirt junior defensive tackle Dontay "The Godfather" Corleone collected honorable mention All-America honors from Phil Steele Magazine earlier this week.

For the second straight season, Kandra was the Big 12's highest-rated right guard by Pro Football Focus (PFF), and he picked up All-Big 12 First Team honors. The Cincinnati native and Elder High School graduate led a Bearcats offense that ranked sixth in the league in total yards (420.6) and paved the way for running back Corey Kiner to rush for a second consecutive 1,000-yard season.

He was previously named a 2024 Second Team All-American by Sports Illustrated and earned honorable mention recognition from the College Football Network.

In 2023, Kandra was named a Second Team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation and a Third Team All-American by the Associated Press.

He allowed just one sack over two years and 24 games as the Bearcats' starting right guard after transferring back home from Louisville.

Kandra recently earned his MBA from UC, as well.

Corleone, who also just earned his undergraduate degree from UC, was named all-conference for the third straight season, collecting First Team All-Big 12 honors. He totaled 26 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks and overcame a difficult offseason that saw him sidelined with blood clots for three months. He was cleared to return to the playing field on Sept. 3 and made his season debut just days later vs. Pitt.

Corleone is a three-time all-conference honoree. "The Godfather" burst onto the college football scene as a redshirt freshman in 2022, collecting Associated Press All-America Third Team and consensus Freshman All-America honors. He was the nation's highest-rated defensive player according to PFF.

He announced in December that he will return to UC for a fifth season.
