GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Cincinnati men’s and women’s swimming and diving program finished the first day of Big 12 Championships inside Greensboro Aquatic Center on Tuesday, Feb 24.
The highlight of the night came from Ellie Schrank, Kate Mardis, Joleigh Crye and Lindi Worrell placing 3rd in 200 medley relay as the second fastest time in program history (1:36.84).
The women’s 800 free relay also secured a third placed finish with a time of 7:13.25 including Michelle Morgan, Taira Vroom, Lindi Worrell and Payton Woodring.
On the men’s side, the 200 medley relay team of Sawyer Tapp, Kyle Bumgardner, Joe Swain and Conner Hogan(1:26.38) placed seventh making the third fastest time in program history, while in the 800 free relay team of Owen Chiles, Luke VanDeusen, Aiden Gerst and Marin De Villard placed sixth with a time of 6:23.80.
The women’s diving team placed fifth with a score of 262.70, while the men’s diving team also claimed fifth with a score of 320.40. Both the men’s and women’s diving teams set new top program records in the process.
Cincinnati ended the first day with two podium placements, three top ten program times and an individual lead top ten time.
