TicketsLUBBOCK, Texas -- The Cincinnati men's 4x400 relay team broke the school record for the fourth time this season, and the women recorded five All-Big 12 performances as the Bearcats' track and field program concluded the conference championships.
Individual podium finishes included Macaela Walker (fifth, 60-meter hurdles), Omolola Kuponiyi (seventh, shot put), Davenae Fagan (fifth, 400-meter), Kya Epps (eighth, 200-meter) and Prince Mcabelo (fourth, 1,000-meter).
The men's relay group (John Apel, Camden Beatty, Romaro Knight, Ade Lloyd) recorded a 3:07.83 mark. The women's 4x400, which was fifth until all four groups in the final heat beat them out, still produced the second-best performance in school history with a 3:37.00 behind Fagan, Morgan Komolafe, Epps and Walker.
There were 19 PRs in all for the Bearcats over the weekend.
Miller Mabury captured UC's freshman heptathlon record with a 5427, including PRs in the shot put, 60m and long jump.
