CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati Track and Field team is headed down to Lexington, Ky., to compete in the Jim Green Invitational at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex this weekend.
A total of 50 Bearcats are headed to the Bluegrass State for the competition, which is hosted by the University of Kentucky.
The competition is set to run from Friday, May 1, to Saturday, May 2, starting at 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday with the hammer throw events. Sydney Foglesong and Emarie Jackson will kick off competition on the women’s side, while Ben Fiser, Oliver Mayer, and Orry Willems will start things for the men.
Saturday competition kicks off at 12 p.m. ET with field events once again, as discus, shot put, and high jump all begin at the same time. The Cincinnati squad of Juliette Laracuente-Huebner, Annika Kinley, and Macaria Moore look to continue the success of the women’s high jump team. Running events start at 12:40 p.m. ET and wrap up around 4 p.m. ET with the 4x400 meter relay, where the Bearcats will compete on both the men’s and women’s side.

Last weekend, the Bearcats competed in the Clark Wood Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville at the Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park.
Abby Knouff recorded a new school record in the pole vault event after achieving a mark of 4.42 meters during competition on Thursday. On Saturday, three Bearcats claimed victories in various events. Kya Epps claimed the 100-meter race, Annika Kinley won the high jump, and Macaela Walker claimed the 100-meter hurdles event.
