2025 All Big 12 Indoor – Weight Throw
2024-25 SEASONS
2025 OTF: Competed in five meets... Notched a personal best in the hammer throw (55.02m) at the Big 12 Championships to claim 18th place... Had an impressive outing at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational as he earned eighth in the discus throw (45.03m) and hammer throw (53.04m).
2025 ITF: Competed in six meets... At the Big 12 Championships, he recorded a distance of 18.93m in the weight throw and finished 10th overall… At the Music City Challenge, he threw a personal best distance of 19.71m in the weight throw and placed third overall.
2023-24 SEASONS
2024 ITF: Competed in eight events during the season... At the Indiana Invitational, he recorded a personal best in the weight throw (19.23m) to place second overall.
2024 OTF: Competed in six events during the season... At the Michael Johnson Invitational, he recorded a personal best in the hammer throw (54.34m) to place 12th overall... At the Clark Wood Open 2024, he recorded a personal best in the discus throw (51.49m) to place second overall.
HIGH SCHOOL: A dual-sport athlete for attending Woodridge High School… A three-time state qualifier in multiple throwing events… He placed fifth at the indoor Ohio State meet in his junior and senior seasons… During his senior season, he claimed the state title in the weight throw as he also was state runner-up in the discus and third in the hammer throw… Outside of track, he was an All-Ohio offensive lineman.
PERSONAL: A native of Peninsula, Ohio, born on Sept. 27, 2004… Son of Aaron Mayer and Lisa Mayer… Has two sisters, Adeline and Josephine… His father was a defensive lineman for Kent State for five years… Hobbies include snowboarding, hunting, fishing, hiking, and wanting to visit all the national parks… Plans on majoring in exercise science.
