CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati Track and Field team is headed to Texas this weekend to compete in the Texas A&M 44 Farms Invitational in the E.B. Cushing Stadium.
A group of 12 Bearcats, six men and six women, are headed out West for the competition hosted by Texas A&M University.
Competition runs from Thursday to Saturday, starting at noon on Thursday with heptathlon and decathlon events. Juliette Laracuente-Huebner and DaShayla Wordlaw will compete in the heptathlon, and Miller Mabury will represent the Bearcats in the decathlon.
Friday competition begins at 10 a.m. with the final events of the Heptathlon and Decathlon. Running events start at 6 p.m. where Christina Allen (800m, 1500m), Gwen Stare (800m), Gianni Allwein (800m, 1500m), Prince Mcabelo (800m, 1500m), and Owen Towler (800m, 1500m) will all be competing for the Bearcats in their respective events.
The meet will wrap up on Saturday, with events beginning at around 6:30 p.m. for UC. Allen, Stare, Allwein, Mcabelo, and Towler will compete in the finals for their Friday running events. The Bearcats will have four athletes competing in the high jump for field events. Annika Kinley and Macaria Moore will represent the women’s team, while Isaiah Ballard and Aslan Jenkins will represent the men.

Last weekend, the Bearcats hosted the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational at Gettler Stadium in Cincinnati.
The Bearcat squad of Macaria Moore, Annika Kinley, DaShayla Wordlaw, and Mallory Mullins are the number one ranked women’s high jump event squad in the nation after Moore, Kinley, and Wordlaw had dominant performances in the event at the home meet.
Outside of Cincinnati, Ade Lloyd, Ethan Long, Kya Epps, Davenae Fagan, Camden Beatty, Romaro Knight and Macaela Walker represented the Bearcats at the Texas Relays. Seth Elking and Nickson Kogei competed out west at the Stanford Invitational.
Across the weekend, the Bearcats recorded nine UC all-time top 10 times and 12 event victories.
