TicketsCINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati senior left guard Evan Tengesdahl has been named a First-Team Preseason All-American by The Sporting News heading into the 2026 college football season.
The Dayton, Ohio native anchors the offensive line for a Bearcats unit that returns as one of the premier offensive lines in the nation. Tengesdahl is coming off a stellar 2025 campaign where he started all 13 games at left guard and finished as Pro Football Focus's top-rated guard in the Big 12 with an 82.8 overall rating. His dominant play helped lead Cincinnati to a Joe Moore Award semifinalist selection after allowing just eight sacks all season—the second-fewest in the country.
Tengesdahl’s recognition by The Sporting News adds to an impressive list of 2026 preseason honors, which also includes spots on the Outland Trophy Watch List and Preseason All-America selections by Walter Camp, Phil Steele, On3, and Athlon Sports in addition to the preseason All-Big 12 list.
