QUICK NOTES: Defending American Athletic Conference indoor long jump champion after capturing his first conference crown at the 2016 indoor meet… scored Top 8 finishes in the long jump twice and triple jump once at the conference level… returning NCAA East Preliminary Round qualifier (long jump).

2015-16 SEASONS
2016 OUT (SO): Posted a career-best long jump mark of 7.52m (24-08.25) to win the Lyle/Wood Invitational in Louisville (4/23)… that mark was good enough to earn him a berth into the NCAA East Preliminary meet later in the season… finished 11th in the long jump at the conference meet before placing 44th at the NCAA East event… also competed in the triple jump twice, hitting a best of 14.51m (47-07.25) at the American Athletic Conference meet to place eighth overall… that mark stands as the ninth-best in program history… capped the year earning American Athletic Conference All-Academic honors… also tabbed for USTFCCCA All-Academic accolades.
2016 IN (SO): Captured the American Athletic Conference title in the long jump, winning with a season-best leap of 7.25m (23-09.50)… earned all-conference accolades in the event by placing among the Top 3… competed in the triple jump for the first time in his career at the American meet, placing seventh overall in 14.33m (47-00.25) to earn two team points… that jump ranked as the ninth-best all-time in program history.

2014-15 SEASONS
2015 OUT (FR): Won the long jump at the Miami Invitational and posted Top 5 finishes in four of the six meets entered in the event… finished fourth in the long jump at the American Conference Outdoor Championships while also helping the 4x100m relay to a podium finish (third place)… grabbed second in the 4x100m and third in the long jump at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational... first-place in the 4x100m at the Miami Invitational... finished fourth in the long jump and third in the 4x100m at the Kentucky Relays... runner-up in the long jump at the Louisville Twilight with a mark of 7.31m (23-11.75), which ranks 13th on the all-time lists at UC.
2015 IN (FR): Was runner-up in the long jump at the American Conference Indoor Championships with a leap of 7.36m (24-01.75), the fifth-longest in program history… also was the runner-up in the long jump at both the Kentucky Invitational and the Akron Invitational.

PRIOR TO UC: Members of the Spanish National Team while majoring in Science of Physical Education and Sports for two years at the University of Barcelona… four-time Spanish national long jump champion winning two titles each at the youth and junior levels… competed in the 2013 European Junior Championships, placing 11th in the long jump… finished eighth in the 2011 World Youth Championships before taking 11th in the 2012 World Junior Championships… also finished 11th at the 2011 European Youth Olympic Festival.

Personal: Born January 15, 1994… son of Juan Manuel and Nuria… has one sister, Andrea… plans to major in health education (exercise & fitness).
