2023-24 SEASONS
2024 ITF: Competed in five meets… Recorded the fastest mile time in UC history at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational (3:57.20)… Four top three finishes… First place finish in the mile at the 2024 Rod McCravy Memorial Track & Field Meet (8:06.24)… Had a phenomenal showing at the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championships second in the mile (4:03.01) and seventh in the DMR (9:43.68)… Career best 3000m at the Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational coming in second (7:59.13).
2024 OTF: Participated in five meets… Stellar showing at the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, 14th in the 1500m (3:43.09) and 16th in the 5000m (14:10.69)… Had a good performance at the NCAA East First Round finished 37th in the 1500m (3:47.39) and 32nd in the 5000m (14:24.49)… At the Wake Forest Invitational, he recorded a personal best 1500m en route to fifth place (3:39.58)… Career best 5000m at the Raleigh Relays (13:49.51).
2023-24 XC: Ran in six meets… Had a great showing at the Big 12 Championships recording a 23:37.0 8k time placing 24th… Logged a 31:06.5 10k at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. Clocked a personal best 6k time at the RedHawk Rumble coming in first place (18:01.0)… Fourth place finish in the 8k at the Bradley Pink Classic (24:19.5)… At the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships he had a career-best 10k time coming in 14th (30:04.3).
2022-23 SEASONS
2022 XC: Competed in five meets during the season… Earned AAC Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in his career… Recorded three top-10 finishes during the season… Finished seventh overall at the AAC Championships earning AAC All-Conference honors for the third time in his career… Recorded a personal best 8k time of 23:26.0 at the Live in Lou Classic finishing fourth overall… Placed sixth overall at the Spartan Invitational to begin the season… Recorded a 10k personal best at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional with a time of 31:09.3 as he was also the first Bearcat to complete the race.
2023 ITF: Competed in four meets during the season… Appeared in the mile, 3000m at DMR at the AAC Championships… Was part of the AAC Championship wining DMR team that broke the UC record with a time of 9:41.29… Finished second overall in the mile to earn his first individual conference medal and helped the Bearcats men’s team capture the AAC indoor team championship… Became the first Bearcat to break the 4-minute mile mark as he broke his own UC record with a time of 3:59.89 at the Meyo Invite.
2023 OTF: Competed in six meets during the season… Qualified for the NCAA East first round for the second time in his career, placing 36th in the 1500m… At the AAC Championships he claimed his first individual conference title breaking the UC program record with a time of 3:41.24… One hour after winning his gold he place fourth overall in the 800m with a time of 1:50.91… Recorded a personal best time of 1:50.18 in the 800m at the Tom Jones Memorial.
2021-22 SEASONS
2021 XC: Competed in five meets during the season. He set personal records in the 6k,5m, and 8k races, with his best finish coming at the Butler Twilight meet where he placed fourth overall with a time of 18:04.4. Wirth placed eighth overall at the AAC Cross Country Championships.
2022 ITF: Competed in five meets during the season. At the Music City Challenge he recorded a personal best time in both the mile (4:00.26), also a UC school record, and the 3,000m (8:07.30). Ran in three events at the American Indoor Track and Field Championships. Finished third overall in the mile (4:05.41) and second as part of the Bearcat DMR team (9:44.67) in their race.
2022 OTF: Competed in four meets during the season. Set a personal in the 1500m with a time of 3:42.65, at the NCAA East Prelims, he placed 36th overall in his first appearance at the meet. At the Outdoor Track and Field Championships he placed fifth overall in the 1,500m with a time of 3:49.87.
2020-2021 SEASONS
2020-21 OTF: Wirth took part in the 4x1500m relay team that clocked a record-breaking time of 15:34.91 at the Tennessee Relays… at the Clark Wood Open in April, Wirth won the 1500m dash with a time of 3:46.89, which is good for fourth in UC history… Wirth qualified for the finals at the AAC Championships with a time of 3:48.90 (13th all-time at UC) at the 1500m dash.
2019-20 SEASONS
2020 OTF (FR): No season was conducted because of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
2020 ITF (FR): Scored at the AAC Championships, placing sixth overall in the mile run in 4:12.86... turned in a best of 4:11.45 at the Charlie Thomas Invitational... ran a PR 1:55.42 in the 800m at the Jim Green Invitational to open the season... raced in the 3,000m twice, posting personal-bests both times... finished with a best of 8:31.49 at the Music City Challenge... helped the DMR to a time of 10:07.95 to win the event at the Music City Challenge and post the #7 time in program history.
2019 XC (FR): Competed in five of the six meets in 2019... placed 25th overall in 25:08.3 at the AAC Championships for his best 8,000m time... as the top finishing freshman in the meet, he was named the 2019 AAC Male Freshman of the Year... finished third on the team at the NCAA Great Lakes Region meet as he placed 104th overall in 32:48.3 in his debut 10,000m run... opened the year placing 10th at the Queen City Invitational (15:26.1) before posting a 23rd-place finish at the Rhodes Invitational (25:33.4).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2019 graduate of Wallenpaupack High School (Hawley, Pa.)... four-year member of the track team and two-year member of both the cross country and soccer programs... named the Lackawanna League 2019 Performer of the Year in track and the 2017 and 2018 Runner of the Year in cross country... individually, took second in the state at 1,600m as a senior after qualifying to the meet the previous two years... captured six district crowns, including the 4x800m relay three times and one each in the 800m, 1,600m and 4x400m... captured both individual crowns and both relays as a senior... set league meet records in the 800m (sophomore), 1,600m (junior) and 3,200m (senior)... finished fourth in the 2019 Penn Relays Boys Mile... on a team level, helped the track team to conference crowns all four years and district titles as a junior and senior... class salutatorian... second in his family to compete collegiately after his dad (Stuart) played football at Wagner College.
