A freshman from Waldorf, Maryland who attended National Christian Academy in Fort Washington, Maryland, Zenzele Apesemaka-Vital joined the coaching staff as a student assistant prior to the 2018-19 season.
Prior to UC, she averaged 11.4 points per game at Bishop McNamara. She was also Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) all-conference honorable mention throughout high school career.
Apesemaka-Vital was an important contributor to the 2016-17 Bishop McNamara team that went 16-13 overall, advancing to the WCAC quarterfinals.
She earned honors including selection to the Boo Williams/Ronald Curry Christmas Classic all-tournament team. She also Earned magna cum laude honor roll distinction.
Apesemaka-Vital is majoring in Psychology at UC.
