RELIEF PITCHER - CURTUS MOAK (1998-01)
A two-time Conference USA Second team performer in both 2000 and 2001, Curtus Moak is the University's all-time leader in appearances, toeing the rubber 99 times in his four-year career at Cincinnati. A late innings specialist, Moak appeared in 26 games in the 2000 season, tied for tenth in a season all-time. In those 26 games he compiled a record of 7-3 with an earned run average of 1.54, and recorded nine saves, second most in a season. He walked only 19 batters, struck out 40, and held the opposing batters to a .225 average. In the 2001 season Moak went 6-4, saved five games, and appeared in a school record 37 games. In 2000 he was named to the 2000 C-USA All Tournament team. Moak ended his Bearcat career as the all-time leader in appearances (99), tied for second all-time in wins (19), second in saves (15), and ninth in innings pitched (225.2).
CLOSER - Jake Geglein (2006-09)
Jake Geglein finished his career as one of the most prolific relievers to ever pitch at Cincinnati. He is the school's all-time saves leader, closing out 20 games in his four-year career. In the 2008 and 2009 season's alone, he notched 18 saves. In the 2008 season Geglein posted a 3-0 record, 2.30 earned run average, and nine saves in 43 innings of work, while holding opponents scoreless in 18 of his 26 appearances. The nine saves are tied for second most in a single season, and the 26 appearances are tied for tenth in a single season. The 2009 season for Geglein was just as impressive as his 08 campaign. He went 6-1 with a 2.97 earned run average, and recorded nine saves for a second consecutive season. In 39.1 innings of relief, Geglein struck out 40 batters and limited opposing batters to a .245 average. At the conclusion of his career he ranked in the Top 5 in three statistical categories, and finished with an overall record of 11-4 with a 3.02 earned run average. In 125 innings of work he struck out 115 hitters and limited the opposition to a .263 batting average.
