Here's a look at what's coming up this week in UC sports:
- The undefeated men's basketball team will take on Miami (Ohio) at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Oxford, Ohio. The game will be televised on SportsTime Ohio, and on the radio on 700WLW. The Bearcats will then come home to host St. Francis (Pa.) at 7 p.m. Thursday at Fifth Third Arena. This game will be televised on Fox Sports Ohio/BIG EAST Network, and on the radio on 700WLW. Cincinnati is 10-0 (0-0 BIG EAST).
- The women's basketball team will host Marshall at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fifth Third Arena. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Ohio with Tom Gelehrter and Betsy Ross on the call. The Bearcats are 5-4 (0-1 BIG EAST).

In case you missed it:
- The men's basketball team dominated Georgia Southern last Tuesday at Fifth Third Arena, 99-54. The 99 points against the Eagles were the most by Cincinnati during Mick Cronin's five-year tenure as head coach. The Bearcats went on to defeat Oklahoma last Saturday, 66-56, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
- The women's basketball team dropped a 78-40 decision against Louisville last Wednesday in their BIG EAST opener at Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats then fell to Wright State last Saturday at Fifth Third Arena, 65-50.
- The swimming and diving team took a break from its annual training trip to South Florida to participate in the Florida Atlantic University Invitational at the FAU Aquatics Complex in Boca Raton, Fla. Last Saturday. Both squads competed in triangular meets, with the women taking on host FAU, Rice University, and the University of Denver. The men's squad took on FAU, Denver, and the Air Force Academy. The women were 1-2 on the day, knocking off the host Owls 193-105, but falling to Rice 184-110 and to Denver by a 192-108 margin. The men were 0-3, recording losses to FAU (204-76), Denver (222-58), and Air Force (182-80).
- Former University of Cincinnati swimmer Josh Schneider set an American record (20.88) and won bronze in the 50-meter freestyle at the FINA World Short Course Championships Friday in Dubai, UAE. Schneider's time of 20.88 breaks the American Short Course Meters record in the 50 freestyle. Schneider, the 2010 NCAA Champion in the 50-yard freestyle, is training for the 2012 Olympics in London.
- Stephanie Niemer, a senior outside hitter for the Bearcats, was named to the Division I All-America second team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association last Tuesday. Niemer is the first player in Cincinnati history to earn a selection on the All-America Second Team after finishing the season ranked fourth in the NCAA in kills per set (5.12) and third in points per set (5.93). Senior Annie Fesl and sophomore Jordanne Scott picked up honorable mention All-American honors.
