TicketsCINCINNATI –The University of Cincinnati track and field team swept the titles at the 2019 Oliver Nikoloff Invitaitonal at Gettler Stadium and Coy Field.
UC won the team-scored meet on both the men's and women's sides. The men's squad tallied 207 points to lead Miami (OH) who was second with 186 points and the women totaled 206.5 points ahead of the second-place RedHawks (124).
The Bearcats tallied 15 event wins, 44 personal-best marks, 22 season-best marks, 18 UC Top-10 marks and one school record over the course of the two-day meet, UC's lone home event of the 2019 season.
Haisha Bisiolu (100m, 400m) and Annette Echikunwoke (shot put, hammer throw) were multiple-event winners and Echikunwoke broke her own school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 64.88m.
Caisja Chandler won the 200m, posting the fastest time in the American Athletic Conference this season, a 23.56 clocking, which ranks as the No. 5 time in UC history.
SENIOR SALUTE
UC honored 23 seniors during Saturday's meet for their contributions during their time in Clifton.
