TicketsCINCINNATI –– The University of Cincinnati men's and women's cross country programs will travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday.
The meet starts at 11:15 a.m. with the men's 8k, followed by the women's 5k at 1:30 p.m. The Joe Piane Invitational is hosted by No. 1 Notre Dame and will be held on Burke Golf Course.
The field consists of 40 men's teams and 47 women's teams highlighted by – Dayton, Kansas, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Mississippi State, Northern Arizona, Oklahoma, Purdue, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Washington State and Wright State.
The women's field consists of two nationally ranked programs – No. 2 Northern Arizona and No. 3 Notre Dame, while the men's field consists of three nationally ranked programs – No. 4 Northern Arizona, No. 9 Notre Dame and No. 30 Michigan State.

The UC men's team placed sixth overall, scoring 156 points, while the women's team finished ninth overall, scoring 201 points at the Fighting Illini Big Ten Preview on Sept. 13. Nationally ranked No. 13 Wisconsin claimed the men's title, while Northwestern won the women's title.
Claire Curtsinger was the first Bearcat to cross the finish line in the women's 6k, as she placed 16th with a time of 21:01.8. It was the California, Ky. native's second consecutive race finishing first for the Bearcats.
On the men's side, Seth Elking set a personal best time of 24:13.0 en route to a 22nd place finish in the men's 8k.
