CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati men's and women's cross country programs will compete in the Big 12 Championships on Friday in Waco, Texas.
The meet starts at 11 a.m. ET with the women's 6k, followed by the men's 8k at 12 p.m. ET. The races will be held on the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course.
There will be a live broadcast of the race on ESPN+ starting at 11 a.m. ET on Friday.
The Bearcats will face a competitive field in Waco, as both No. 1 ranked teams in the country hail from the Big 12. In total, four men's programs and four women's programs are nationally-ranked:
Men – No. 1 Oklahoma State, No. 2 BYU, No. 24 Colorado and No. 30 Texas Tech.
Women – No. 1 BYU, No. 4 West Virginia, No. 6 Utah and No. 18 Oklahoma State.
The top-15 individual finishers from both the men's and women's races will be named to the All-Big 12 team.
The awards for Coach of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Runner of the Year will be determined by a coach's vote and announced on Thursday, December 5.

Competing at the Bradley Pink Classic on Oct. 18, the UC men placed ninth overall, scoring 219 points, while the women's team finished 13th overall, scoring 375 points. North Dakota State claimed the men's title, while Northwestern won the women's title.
Junior Claire Curtsinger finished first for the Bearcats, coming in seventh place clocking a career best time of 20:28.67. The California Ky., native has been impressive all season.
She's finished first for the women in all four races, placing top 10 three times.
On the men's side, freshman Lucas Towne, for the first time this season crossed the finish line first for the men, clocking a time of 24:05.82 (11th).
