CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams are ready to compete in Lubbock, Texas, for the Big 12 Indoor Championships this weekend.

The competition kicks off Friday at 11 a.m. ET with multi events, followed by running and field events at 3 p.m. ET. Saturday's schedule begins with multi events at 11 a.m., ET, with field events starting at 2 p.m. ET and running events at 3 p.m. ET
The Bearcats will travel 36 athletes to the meet, 21 men and 15 women.

Cincinnati recorded three program records, five event victories and 24 UC all-time top 10 marks at the Music City Challenge inside the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility.
Graduate student Astley Davis rewrote history, breaking a 54-year-old school record in the triple jump with a winning mark of 16.22m. The previous record (15.99m) was set by Bearcat Hall of Famer Al Lanier in 1972. Davis now leads the Big 12 and ranks No. 8 in the nation.
Akron, Ohio native Kya Epps continues to dominate this season as she captured the 200m program record and event victory, clocking a blistering time of 23.20 seconds. Epps now sits with the fifth fastest 200m time in the Big 12. Epps also won in the 60m dash, punching a time of 7.33 seconds.
Graduate student Fred Moudani-Likibi improved his grip on the shot put program record after posting a throw of 20.62m. The Savigny-Le-Temple, France native, now stands at No. 1 in Big 12 and No. 2 in the nation.
Junior Gwen Stare notched the win in the 800m, logging a time of 2:11.94, while senior Abby Knouff vaulted to victory, achieving a pole vault mark of 4.27m.
