Here's a look at what's going on this week in Cincinnati sports:
- The men's basketball team will take on No. 2 Pittsburgh at 6 p.m. Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Ohio and the BIG EAST Network, and on the radio on 700WLW. The Bearcats are 18-4 overall and is tied for seventh in the BIG EAST at 5-4.
- The women's basketball team will take on Pittsburgh at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Bearcats will go on to play No. 19 Georgetown at 3 p.m. Saturday in Washington, D.C. Cincinnati is 8-12 overall and tied for 13th in the BIG EAST at 1-7.
- The swimming and diving team will compete in their final regular season meet with Wright State at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dayton, Ohio, before competing in the BIG EAST and NCAA Championships.
- The tennis team (0-4) will take on Bowling Green at 6 p.m. Saturday in Bowling Green, Ohio.
- The track and field team will head to New York, N.Y. to compete in the New Balance Invitational.

In case you missed it:
- The men's basketball team defeated Rutgers, 72-56, last Wednesday at Fifth Third Arena. The win marked the Bearcats' fifth straight in the series against the Scarlet Knights. Cincinnati went on to drop a 66-55 decision against West Virginia last Saturday at Fifth Third Arena, snapping a 13-home game winning streak for UC.
- The women's basketball team fell to No. 12/17 DePaul, 67-48, last Tuesday at Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats went on to host No. 2/2 Connecticut last Saturday but Box Score dropped an 80-46 decision against the Huskies at Fifth Third Arena.
- The swimming and diving team celebrated Senior Day Saturday against Kentucky and Virginia Tech at the Keating Aquatics Center. Virginia Tech swept the meet on both sides in a fast meet that saw nine KAC pool records set. The men's team dropped a 255-42 decision to Virginia Tech and a 206-75 result to Kentucky. The women's team fell 193-106 to Virginia Tech and 176.5-107.5 to Kentucky.
- The tennis team fell 5-2 against Miami (Ohio) last Friday at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club. Caitlin O'Gara won a point for the Bearcats in No. 4 singles, while also teaming with Lindsey Lonergan in the No. 2 doubles for a comeback, 8-6, victory to win the doubles point for UC. Ashleigh Witte and Elise Woulfe won the No. 3 doubles match to give the Bearcats the doubles point, but Miami controlled Cincinnati in singles play, winning their five points. UC was swept by No. 45 Indiana in Bloomington by a 7-0 count in its second match of the weekend on Sunday.
- The indoor track team broke four school records at the Rod McCravy Invitational, while adding a fifth at the Pole Vault Summit in Reno, Nev. Record setters from the weekend included senior sprinter Natasha Burse (200-meter dash), junior Kathy Klump (800-meter run), freshman thrower Frida Akerstrom (shot put), the 4x400 relay team of senior Vanessa Hardin, Klump, sophomore Shanay Portis and junior Aricka Rhodes, and junior pole vaulter Mackenzie Fields. The UC men's track team also competed at the McCravy Invitational, one of its three NCAA sanctioned indoor events, with a first place finish in the one-mil run by junior Eric Finan highlighting the day.
- Stephanie Niemer, a senior on the UC volleyball team, received another tribute to her storied Bearcat career when Volleyball Magazine named her to its All-America First Team in the February 2011 issue.
