Track & Field Wrap Weekend Meets In Ohio & Texas

CINCINNATI –The University of Cincinnati track and field team closed out a successful split-squad weekend which saw competition in four meets in three states from coast-to-coast.
 
UC was in action at the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium Thursday, Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas at the Texas State Track & Field Complex, the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, California and the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open at the Cedarville University's Yellow Jacket Track & Field Complex in Cedarville, Ohio.
 
The weekend saw the Bearcats snag five event wins, set 30 PRs and add 10 UC All-Time Top-10 marks in the team's first outdoor action of the 2019 season.

SATURDAY NOTES
BOBCAT INVITATIONAL

• Arthur Greenlee placed second in the 100m hurdles with a PR time of 14.27.
• Chris Borzor ran 20.92 to place fifth in the 200m. He clocked a PR, the second-fastest 200m in UC history and the quickest 200 since 2004.
• Kennedy Marable had a PR in the triple jump with a leap of 14.35m, which ranks tied for the No. 4 jump in the UC record book. 

 
TEXAS RELAYS

• The 4x400m relay team of Haisha Bisiolu, Faith Banks, Caisja Chandler and Kylie Cutlip was seventh in the final with a time of 3:45.34.

 
YELLOW JACKET COLLEGIATE OPEN

• Connor Duricky won the 400m dash with a PR of 50.28.
• Tim Maduka leapt 6.99m, a personal best, which won the long jump event.
• Aaron Deaton was second in the shot put (15.87m/52-01.00) and third in the hammer throw with a PR of 50.10m (164-04.00).
• Leah Maschino crossed the line first in the 800m run with a PR clocking of 2:21.16, leading a 1-2-5 UC finish with Lianna Masquelier in second (2:23.10) and Madalyn O'Dea in fifth (2:28.01)
• Masquelier was second in the 1,500m with O'Dea in third (4:59.02).
• Jane Sensibaugh won the discus throw with a heave of 45.58m (149-06.00) and placed fourth in the shot put with a best effort of 12.53m (41-01.50).

 
UP NEXT
The Bearcats will play host to their lone meet at Gettler Stadium next week with the two-day, Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6. Friday events, featuring the men's and women's javelin and men's and women's hammer throw, will take place at Coy Field. Saturday field events at Gettler start at 10 a.m. ET with the women's pole vault and men's discus. The men's 3,000m steeplechase gets the track events rolling at noon.
