CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati track and field program wrapped up its annual home meet, the 2026 Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, at Gettler Stadium on Saturday.
The Bearcats recorded eight UC all-time top 10 times and 12 event victories.
Freshman Abby Sewell excelled in the 1500m run, securing a spot in UC all-time top 10 times. Sewell clocked a time of 4:26.71 seconds, earning first place and the fifth-fastest spot in Cincinnati history.
In field events, numerous Bearcats earned spots in the top 10 list. The Bearcats dominated the women’s high jump competition. Junior Macaria Moore won the event with a mark of 1.83m, earning her the fifth spot in Cincinnati history. DaShayla Wordlaw, who placed third in the event, also joined the top 10 list. She recorded a jump of 1.80m, placing her as the 9th best in Cincinnati history.
On the men’s side of field events, Emmanuel Agbo Anih, the Halle, Germany native, secured a huge victory in the men’s discus throw in only his second event with the Bearcats since enrolling in January. Anih won with a mark of 55.29m, which was five meters above the second-place competitor. This gave the freshman the fourth-best spot in Cincinnati’s history of the discus event.

Cincinnati honored 18 senior/graduate students (seven men, 11 women). The list of athletes included Lauren Ann Barnes, Claire Curtsinger, Kendal Fisher, Annika Kinley, Abby Knouf, Sarah Madix, Mallory Mullen, Renee Raglin, Amanda Simon, Gwen Stare, Miranda Tcheutchoua, Joel Addo, Camden Beatty, Ben Fiser, Robert Ganser, Robert Hart, Prince Mcabelo, and Orry Willems.

Graduate student Orry Willems, the current school record holder in the hammer throw, had another dominant performance in the event on Friday. He won the hammer throw with a mark of 65.60m, which is his second-best time ever recorded.
Two other Bearcats, Ben Fiser and Tyler Thompson, also competed in the hammer throw, placing third and fifth, respectively. Fiser received a mark of 60.49m and Thompson a 59.69m mark. Thompson’s mark moved him up to the seventh spot in Cincinnati event history.
On the women's side, with a hurl of 57.20m, fifth-year Miranda Tcheutchoua also secured a victory for the Bearcats in the hammer throw event.
