Here's a look at what's coming up this week in Cincinnati sports:
- The cross country team will compete in the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Syracuse, N.Y.
- The football team will host Syracuse in the Homecoming Game at Noon Saturday at Nippert Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPNU and on the radio on 700 WLW. Cincinnati is 3-4 (1-1 BIG EAST).
- The women's golf team will return from a week off to compete in the Memphis Women's Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Memphis, Tenn. The Bearcats will then participate in the two-day FIU Pat Bradley Invitational next Sunday and Monday in Fort Myers, Fla.
- The men's soccer team will take on DePaul at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Chicago, Ill. The Bearcats will then come back to host Syracuse at 7 p.m. Saturday in on Senior Night at Gettler Stadium. UC, which has clinched a berth in the BIG EAST Tournament, is 6-4-5 overall and tied for second in the league's Red Division at 4-1-2 BIG EAST.
- The No. 23 women's volleyball team will take on IUPUI at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Indianapolis, Ind. Cincinnati will come back to host Villanova at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fifth Third Arena on Senior Day. The Bearcats are 20-4 this season and tied for first in the BIG EAST at 7-1.

- The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics has announced that season tickets for the 2010-11 Women's Basketball Season are now on sale. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of these offers to catch BIG EAST basketball at Fifth Third Arena all season long for 17 home games (includes one exhibition game), including the Women's Crosstown Shootout held on Dec. 5 against local rival Xavier University. In case you missed it:
- The football team came up short against USF last Friday, 38-30 at Nippert Stadium, snapping the Bearcats 13-game BIG EAST winning streak, tied for the third-longest streak in league history.
- The men's golf team finished in a tie for fourth place at the Davidson College Invitational last Tuesday at River Run Country Club. Freshman Spencer Mellon led the Bearcats with a seventh-place finish. He posted a one over par 72-72-73=217.
- The men's soccer team finished with a 1-1 draw in double overtime last Wednesday against No. 19/25 USF at Gettler Stadium. The Bearcats went on to play Villanova to a 0-0 draw last Saturday at the Villanova Soccer Complex. UC locked up a spot in the BIG EAST Championship and assured itself of at least a first-round home game by virtue of finishing in the top four in the Red Division.
- The women's soccer team fell to Rutgers, 2-1, last Friday in BIG EAST conference play. The Bearcats went on to drop their season finale at Seton Hall by a 3-1 score. UC finishes the season 8-10-1 (2-9 BIG EAST).
- The swimming and diving team opened up its season last Friday with the annual Crosstown Splashdown against Xavier at the Keating Aquatics Center. The women's squad knocked off the Musketeers 182-87 while the men's squad fell to Xavier 137.5-127.5.
- After snapping its 10-match winning streak snapped by Louisville on Oct. 16, the women's volleyball team came back to defeat Western Kentucky, 3-1, in Bowling Green, Ky. last Tuesday. Cincinnati then defeated USF last Saturday 3-0, at Fifth Third Arena, keeping pace with Louisville for first place in the BIG EAST Conference standings. UC wrapped up the week with a home sweep of Georgetown on Sunday afternoon.
