Here's what's coming up this week in UC sports:
- The baseball team will host the Joe Nuxhall Classic on Tuesday and Wednesday at Marge Schott Stadium. The teams participating are UC, Miami University (OH), Xavier and Wright State. Game one for the Bearcats will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday against crosstown rival Xavier. Game two will be on Wednesday, with UC playing at 7 p.m. regardless of Tuesday's outcome. Cincinnati will then take on Rutgers in a three-game series this weekend in Piscataway, N.J. Game one is at 3 p.m. Friday followed by game two at 1 p.m. Saturday and the final game at noon Sunday. UC is 15-14 and tied for seventh in the BIG EAST at 4-5.
- Bearcat Bowl V, the football team's 11th workout of the spring is scheduled to take place Saturday at Nippert Stadium. Admission is free and open to all patrons. Fans are encouraged to sit on the east side of Nippert, opposite the press box. Bearcat Bowl V is only one of several events taking place on the Clifton campus on April 16.
- The men's golf team will compete in the BIG EAST Championship Sunday through next Tuesday, April 19 in Palm, Harbor, Fla.
- The women's golf team will compete in the BIG EAST Championship Sunday through next Tuesday April 19 in Palm Harbor, Fla.
- The women's lacrosse team will take on Villanova at 3 p.m. Friday at Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats will then play Rutgers at noon Sunday at Nippert Stadium. Cincinnati is 2-9 (0-4 BIG EAST). Sunday's match will also feature the annual Think Pink game as well as Youth Day.
- The men's soccer team will host the Dayton Dutch Lions (USL Pro) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gettler Stadium. The Bearcats will then take on Butler at 8 p.m. Saturday in Indianapolis, Ind.
- The women's tennis team will host three matches this week starting with Youngstown State at 11 a.m. Monday at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center. The Bearcats will then take on Ball State at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by a match against DePaul at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Bearcats are 7-13 overall and 6-4 in the BIG EAST
- The track team will host the All-Ohio Championships Friday and Saturday at Gettler Stadium.

Bearcats and the Community
- Don't forget the renewal period for both season-ticket holders and UCATS members for the 2011 football season is open through April 22, 2011 and those that take advantage of UC's online renewal system will be eligible for a drawing that includes some great prizes.
In case you missed it:
- The baseball team defeated Morehead State, 14-10, last Wednesday in Morehead, Ky. The Bearcats then lost a series against Louisville last weekend at Marge Schott Stadium. Cincinnati dropped a 7-4 decision last Friday and lost 5-3 last Saturday. In the final game, UC knocked off the Cards by a 5-2 score on Sunday.
- The women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-2 decision to No. 18 Georgetown last Friday in Washington D.C.
- The men's golf team Box Score finished in an eighth-place tie at the Columbia Orthopedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate last Tuesday at the Club at Old Hawthorne. All five of UC's golfers finished within nine shots of one another and the top four finishers all shot between 235 and 237. The Bearcats also competed in Kentucky's Bluegrass Invitational, tying for 13th after rounds of 313-294-305=912. Joe Kastelic (77-71-77=225) and David Tepe (76-73-76=225) tied for 30th to lead UC.
- The women's golf team finished tied for fourth with Florida Gulf Coast in the rain-shortened 2011 World Golf Village Intercollegiate last Monday in St. Augustine, Fla. The top finisher for the Bearcats was senior Bambee Dela Paz, who fired off rounds of 77-75=152 to finish seventh. The Bearcats shot 325-306=631, tying with Florida Gulf Coast.
- The women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 53 Marshall last Sunday at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center. Cincinnati is 7-13 overall and 6-4 in the BIG EAST.
- The track and field teams placed second in the women's division and fifth in the men's at the Miami Invitational on Saturday. In the women's division, Cincinnati placed second overall in the team scoring after earning 105 points. Host Miami (Ohio) won the women's division with a 111 point total. The men's team scored 71 team points to place fifth overall. Miami (Ohio) finished first in the men's division with a score of 116.
- The volleyball team dropped a spring contest on Saturday in three sets at Big 10 member Michigan State.
