Here's what's going on this week in UC sports:
- The baseball team will take on Xavier in two games this week. The first game will be at Xavier at 3 p.m. Tuesday, before the Bearcats host Xavier at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Marge Schott Stadium. Cincinnati will then take on Pittsburgh in a three-game series, starting with a doubleheader Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa. Game one will be at 1 p.m., followed by game two directly after. The final game of the series will be at noon Sunday. UC is 21-16 overall and tied for fifth in the BIG EAST at 8-7.
- The women's lacrosse team will host Notre Dame on Senior Day at noon Sunday in Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats are 2-13 overall and 0-7 in the BIG EAST.
- The men's golf team will compete in the annual Crosstown Shootout Tuesday in to finish the 2011 season.
- The women's golf team will wrap up their 2011 season with the annual Crosstown Shootout Tuesday.
- The men's soccer team will wrap up the spring season with the Alumni Match at 1 p.m. Sunday in Gettler Stadium.
- Women's tennis will wrap up the season with the BIG EAST Championships Thursday through Sunday in South Bend, Ind. The times are yet to be determined. The Bearcats are 9-14 (6-5 BIG EAST).
- The track and field teams will compete in the Drake Relays Thursday through Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa. The Bearcats will also participate in the Redhawk Invitational in Oxford, Ohio on Saturday.

Bearcats and the Community:
- The men's basketball program invites you to the 2011 Mick Cronin Basketball Camps starting in June. Camp 1 will be June 13-16, grades 2-10, Camp 2 will be June 27-30, grades 2-10, and Camp 3 will be August 1-4, grades 2-10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The cost is $200.
- The women's basketball program will host the 2011 Jamelle Elliott Basketball Camps beginning in June. High School Team Shootouts will take place June 20 and June 21 and the Individual Basketball Skills Camp will be June 22 to June 24 for grades 4-12. Each camper will eat lunch in the campus cafeteria and receive a camp T-shirt. Camp will be in session from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. (Wed/Thur/Fri). Campers have an option to stay for Open Gym from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. for an additional $10 per camper for each day.
In case you missed it:
- The baseball team swept a doubleheader against Villanova last Thursday at Marge Schott Stadium. The Bearcats won game one, 7-1, followed by a 10-4 win in game two. In the final game, UC ended the series with a 3-2 victory last Friday, sweeping the series against the Wildcats.
- The men's golf team placed sixth in the BIG EAST Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla. last week. Cincinnati's three-round total of 301-303-294=898 was just three shots behind USF (302-300-293=895) and Georgetown (300-308-287=895), who tied for fourth. Senior Joe Kastelic was in contention the entire tournament, leading after 18 holes thanks to a first-round 69, before finishing third overall (69-75-72=216). Sophomore David Tepe also posted a top-10 finish with rounds of 73-73-75=221 to place ninth.
- The women's golf team placed seventh to finish up the BIG EAST Championship last Tuesday in Palm Harbor, Fla. The Bearcats shot 320-325-322=967 to finish nine strokes back of sixth-place Rutgers (312-319-327=958). The Bearcats were led by 2010 all-BIG EAST golfer Jenny Linville, who fired rounds of 80-75-79=234 to finish in a tie for 12th.
- The women's lacrosse team dropped a 19-9 decision against Connecticut last Thursday in Storrs, Conn. Cincinnati went on to drop a 20-3 decision to No. 19 Syracuse last Saturday in the Carrier Dome.
- The men's soccer team defeated the Northern Kentucky Norse 2-0 last Wednesday at Gettler Stadium in spring action.
- The track and field teams set multiple school records and won five championships Friday and Saturday at the Polytan Invitational at Indiana University's Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex. Two of the Bearcats' record-breaking performances earned first-place finishes. Mackenzie Fields tied a school record in the pole vault after clearing a height of 4.16 meters. Junior distance runner Eric Finan broke his own school record in the 5K, finishing with a time of 13.49.80, one of two individual championships for the UC men's team on the weekend. The Cincinnati women's 4x400 relay team featuring Shanay Portis, Ashley Arnold, Kathy Klump and Aricka Rhodes broke a school record when it recorded a time of 3:41.53, giving the Bearcats a second-place finish. Klump broke her own record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.65, good for third place.
