Audrey Capannari

Audrey Capannari enters her second year as assistant diving coach with the Cincinnati swimming and diving program for the 2023-24 season. Capannari was a five-year student-athlete at UC, from 2017-2022, specializing in the springboard and tower diving events. Throughout her time, she competed in AAC event diving finals and had several dual meet wins.

During the 2022-23 season, she led three men to the NCAA Zone qualifying meet and had one zones finalist. At the 2023 AAC championship meet, all 5 divers attending advanced to event finals. Capannari had one podium finisher on tower. 

During her time as an athlete, Capannari was inducted into the Cincinnati Athletics’ Legion of Excellence (2020) and was named Scholar Athlete of the Week during the 2020-2021 season.  She was also a member of the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and Bearcats Strong throughout her time in the program.  

Capannari competed in all three diving events at the 2019-2020 AAC Championships, making the finals in the 3-meter. She also posted a personal best on 1-meter against Xavier and 3-meter against Denison in 2019-20.

During the 2018-2019 season, she competed in all three diving events at the American Athletic Conference Championship, helping Cincinnati place second in the conference. She also placed top-3 in multiple events during the season, including a second-place finish on the 3-meter against Miami and second place against Kenyon. 

The Cincinnati native was a three-time Ohio High School Athletic Association state qualifier (2015, 2016, 2017) and broke three school diving records (2016, 2017), and achieved Ohio State runner-up in 2015 with her team. 

Capannari is currently in law school at UC and hopes to continue working in college athletics after graduating in the spring of 2024.
