Here's what's coming up this week in UC sports:
- The baseball team will take on Ohio University (15-19) at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Athens, Ohio. The Bearcats will then host a three-game series against Villanova (13-20, 2-9 BIG EAST) Thursday through Saturday at Marge Schott Stadium. Game one will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by game two at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The final game will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Cincinnati is 18-16 and tied for eighth in the BIG EAST at 5-7.
- The men's golf team will finish up the BIG EAST Championship Monday and Tuesday in Palm Harbor, Fla.
- The women's golf team will wrap up the BIG EAST Championship Monday and Tuesday in Palm Harbor, Fla.
- The women's lacrosse team will take on Connecticut (6-6) at 4 p.m. Thursday in Storrs, Conn. Cincinnati will then play No. 13 Syracuse (5-7, 3-1 BIG EAST) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Syracuse, N.Y. The Bearcats are 2-11 (0-5 BIG EAST).
- The men's soccer team will host Northern Kentucky at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Gettler Stadium.
- The track and field teams will compete in the Hoosier Invitational Friday and Saturday in Bloomington, Ind.
- The women's volleyball team will host the Bearcat Spring Tournament Saturday in Fifth Third Arena to wrap up their spring schedule.

Bearcats and the Community:
- Don't forget the renewal period for both season-ticket holders and UCATS members for the 2011 football season is open through Friday and those that take advantage of UC's online renewal system will be eligible for a drawing that includes some great prizes.
In case you missed it:
- The baseball team advanced to the title game of the Joe Nuxhall Classic after a 6-5 walk-off win over Xavier last Tuesday in the second game of the opening round at Marge Schott Stadium. The Bearcats then defeated Wright State, 7-4, last Wednesday in the championship game, taking the Joe Nuxhall Classic title. Cincinnati went on to play Rutgers in a three-game series in Piscataway, N.J. UC dropped a 3-2 decision in game one last Friday, followed by a 17-2 loss in game two. In the final game last Sunday, the Bearcats defeated Rutgers, 7-6 in the 10th inning.
- The men's basketball program signed Cheikh Mbodj (Dakar, Senegal/Grayson County (Texas) College) to a National Letter of Intent for the 2011-2012 season, head coach Mick Cronin announced last Thursday. Also announced last week, UC signee Jermaine Sanders has been named the All-Manhattan Boys Basketball Player of the Year by the New York Post.
- The football team held Bearcat Bowl V last Saturday night at Nippert Stadium, where the defense won, 63-53. Fans can watch a replay of Bearcat Bowl V on GoBEARCATS.com. A tape-delayed program of the event will be shown on FOX Sports Ohio on Thursday at 8 p.m. and on Friday at 11 p.m. UC will close out spring practice this week, working out Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday before closing out the spring session on Saturday.
- The lacrosse team got three goals and a school-record tying five assists from Katie Kiriazoglou, but it was not enough as the Bearcats dropped an 11-10 decision to Villanova last Friday in BIG EAST Conference action at Nippert Stadium. It marked the fourth time Kiriazoglou has tied her own school records with five assists and eight points in game. UC then dropped a 12-9 decision to Rutgers last Sunday, wearing pink to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness at Nippert Stadium.
- The men's soccer team played the Dayton Dutch Lions of the United Soccer League to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday evening at Gettler Stadium. The Bearcats, who recorded their first tie of the spring campaign, had a 2-1 lead in the second half, but Dayton scored off a free kick late in the match to pull even.
- The women's tennis team topped Youngstown State, 6-1, last Monday at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club. The Bearcats then defeated Ball State, 5-2, last Friday, also in their home court. Cincinnati went on to host DePaul last Sunday but dropped a 4-3 decision to the Blue Demons. UC is 9-14 (6-5 BIG EAST).
- The women's track and field team won the All-Ohio Championships, while the Bearcats totaled 10 event titles at the championships at Gettler Stadium last Saturday. The women, highlighted by senior Natalie Burse's three crowns, finished first with 191 points, while the men were fourth with 114.5 points.
