What is UCATS?

Founded in 1979, UCATS (University of Cincinnati Athletic Teams Scholarships) is the philanthropic support organization for the University of Cincinnati Athletics Department. Members of UCATS help advance the mission and vision of the department by giving generously in support of Cincinnati’s student-athletes and the teams they represent.

Our Mission

UCATS remains committed to providing the funding necessary for all Bearcat student-athletes to compete at the highest level. Through the philanthropic support of donors, UCATS will provide scholarship support, grow endowed funds, work to fund capital projects and increase programmatic support for all of Cincinnati’s sport programs. These initiatives are incredibly important as we strive to be the best in the Big 12.

A Letter from Tristan Mulcahy

Bearcats Nation,

Since arriving to the Queen City in June of 2025, I have been incredibly amazed at the passion and love our fans have for this university. Stepping onto campus just in time for the grand opening of the Sheakley Indoor Practice Facility was the perfect reminder that Cincinnati not only dreams big, but makes it happen.

The team of individuals in the UCATS office are all dedicated to serving our student-athletes and provide them with a best-in-class experience during their time at Cincinnati. We want them to be uniquely Cincinnati, to stand out in the classroom, in competition and when they are representing you all in the community.

In the coming weeks and months, I hope to continue meeting with many, many more of our loyal and generous supporters who make a dramatic impact on the lives of our student-athletes and coaches each day. Now, more than ever, we need your help to be the best in the Big 12 and show the country just what Cincinnati is all about!

Simply put, we need your support! The cost of operating a competitive athletics program continues to rise each year. Your contributions help provide life-changing opportunities for our student-athletes both on and off the field.

Anyone can join! Whether you're an alumnus, a parent, a fan, or simply a supporter of the University, your gift, no matter the size, makes an impact.

The UCATS membership calendar runs from July 1 – June 30. You can make your gift at any time during the year, but only those received by June 30 will be considered active for that drive year.

Giving is simple! You can contribute online HERE, over the phone, or by mail. UCATS accepts a variety of gift types, including credit card, check, stocks and securities and estate gifts for those wishing to make a lasting impact.

UCATS members enjoy exclusive early access to football and basketball tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Visit the Tickets and Parking tab for more details.

Priority points are how UCATS ranks active donors. These points help determine access to high-demand items like bowl games, neutral site or tournaments and postseason games.

There are several ways to increase your ranking. The most straightforward is by making a current-use gift: for every $100 donated, you earn five (5) priority points.
